$20+ depending on experience
Duties:
We are seeking individuals who can assist in the building and maintaining and repairing overhead and underground communication lines (like fiber optic or coax cable lines), while also handling general site labor tasks.
Ideally candidates should have experience with Coax and Fiber Optic cables in both Aerial and Underground locatin
- Work unsupervised on various tasks.
- Perform occasional overnight shifts to minimize customer impact.
- Conduct general troubleshooting.
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications lines.
- Work on utility poles and elevated structures using ladders, bucket trucks, or climbing gear.
- String cables between poles and secure them properly.
- Follow construction prints, maps, and technical diagrams.
- Ensure all work meets safety regulations and company standards.
Skills:
- Valid G driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Proficient with towing trailers around. (forward or backwards)
- Proficiency with power tools and hand tools.
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in all types of weather.
- Comfortable digging holes by hand in necessary
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
- It would be an asset if the candidate had good working knowledge with or around Mini Excavators.
