Friday Round-Up: Networking Events Near You!

Friday Round-Up: Networking Events Near You!

Hey there folks! We are back with some exciting events in Guelph and the surrounding area over the next month! If you are an employer to connect with newcomer talent, learn effective communication in the workplace, or are someone with a Nursing degree looking for a new job, we have plenty going on over the next few weeks!

Firstly, hosted at our very own Youth Resource Center in Stone Rd Mall, as well as a following date in Mount Forest, we have a Job Fair hosted by ParaMed! ParaMed has been supporting teams and development since the 70’s, and they’re searching for Personal Support Workers who are ready to work! If you have a Support Worker Certificate or an International Nursing Degree, scan the QR code or head to ParaMed Job Fair – Kitchener-Waterloo-Barrie to register. Walk-ins are also accepted!

ParaMed’s Job Fair is on May 20th, from 1-6pm at the Stone Rd Mall, Suite 213 and on May 26th from 10am-4pm on 392 Main St N, Mount Forest ON.

Next up, two events on the same day, hosted by the Workplace & Immigrant Network! June 9th will be busy, so have your pick! If you are a newcomer with construction experience or an employer looking for new talent, come by the Kitchener Public Library from 5-8pm for Construction Connect: Bridging Careers in Construction!

Alternatively, employers may be interested in attending the Practical Communication for Today’s Canadian Workplace at the Grand Way in Elora. Learn practical strategies to improve communication with clients and staff from different backgrounds with Shani Ellis-Alman. Scan the QR code below to register!

That’s all for this week! Keep applying yourself, and tune in next time!
