Our Maintenance Team Members perform a variety of maintenance activities across their Village to ensure a safe and comfortable home environment for residents, their families and your colleagues.

Duties:

Maintenance Team Members complete maintenance requests (repairs) and routine scheduled work including plumbing, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs and heating/cooling system maintenance. To be successful as our new Maintenance Team Member, you will: • Be comfortable working at heights and with exposure to outside weather conditions and understand the physical expectations of maintenance work • Handle residents’ personal items, Village supplies and equipment with care and respect • Respects the rights and dignity of all residents, families, team members and visitors to the Village and addresses any requests with professionalism and care

Skills:

It would be an asset if our new Maintenance Team Member has: • An awareness and understanding of infection control practices, workplace hazardous materials and chemicals (WHMIS), as well as, all relevant health and safety procedures • An understanding of general maintenance and trades, such as, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and electrical • The awareness and ability to operate equipment and machinery, such as, hot water heating systems, air exchange units, fire alarms, sprinkler systems and/or call systems • Skill in operating common hand and power tools
