Compensation:

$51,974.40 to $64,334.40 (2022 Non-Union Compensation Grid), based on a 35 hour work week


Duties:

  • Scheduling, mail merging, copying, filing, mailing, invoicing, answering phone, email correspondence, responding to public inquiries
  • Administrative support in regard to department projects, meetings and document preparation
  •  Assist in the preparation/set-up of Committee agendas/meetings using Escribe and Equidox software
  • Provide customer service for the County’s RIDE WELL rural transit service
  • Assist with drafting e-newsletters and maintaining the departmental website
  • Support the coordination of social media content and marketing for the division
  • Assist with the coordination and promotion of festivals, events and workshops
  • Support for departmental events including RSVP coordination, name tags, audio visual setup and event setup/preparation
  • Providing friendly and professional service to the public, representing the County
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills:

  • Two Year College Diploma in business administration or related field
  • Minimum one year of experience or equivalent in economic development or related field, preferably within a municipal setting
  • Experience in event coordination and/or public/media relations is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), email and web-based applications
  • Excellent customer service skills, reflecting a positive, outgoing and professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with members of the public
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Able to respect and exercise confidentiality
  • Strong commitment to functioning as part of a team
  • Professionalism, representing the County of Wellington
