Duties:

Job/Position Summary: Reporting to the Inventory & Panning Manager, the Demand Planner will be responsible for the optimization of statistical forecasts, planning parameters, and attributes with planning systems. The role works closely with Sales, New Product, and Product Management teams to ensure demand alignment with business goals. The Demand Planner will also work with internal production teams to monitor production capacity and schedule attainment. Strong technology, analytical and communication skills are must-have traits. Responsibilities: • Create, develop, and follow through with effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns and adjust forecasting parameters in the MRP system • Develop schedules and monitor production schedules for selected locations. • Work closely with the Production and Planning teams to monitor and track both short/long term plant capacity issues. Monitor and publish production attainment reports. • Work and meet with the sales and operations team to capture feedback, and sales trends for both new and established products. • Use PM software (Asana) to follow through on action plans and progressive momentum, track, and publish Action register, and forecast variance KPI’s. • Oversee the New Business Forecast submission process. Provide team with inventory and supply chain data to set accurate ETA for business start. • Create a plan and own DNR and end of life cycle process. Collaborate with product teams and update ERP system with substitutions, and versions as required. • Monitor sales patterns and consistency in products to determine required status changes, as well as make changes to all style classes. • Publish monthly reporting of KPI’s info to department intranet page for company visibility. • Run weekly reports including Weekly Plan and Impact Report (WPIR), Warehouse Rebalancing Report, and Update Clearance List as well as other Ad Hoc reports as needed.

Skills:

Qualifications & Requirements: • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role. • Post-secondary education in Logistics and Supply Chain, Materials & Operations Management or Business or related field of study. • Experience with methods and processes for inventory and supply chain management, and knowledge of import/export processes. • Experience with ERP systems and related software for demand planning/scheduling. • PC proficiency (MS Office, Excel, Word and Outlook, Microsoft teams, Asana) is required • Knowledge of complex data analysis/strong math and statistical skills. • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. • Ability to effectively present information and recommendations to groups and leadership. • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks based on daily business demands. • Must be willing and able to travel to the other locations, sometimes with extended stays, as required.
