Duties:

Description of duties The Customer Service Representative is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. The Representative will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement. Job Description • Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives. • Process Grocery orders. • Perform program execution and merchandising of product. • Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of date products. • Provides excellent customer service, addresses need of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques, answers phones and pages promptly and courteously. • Have a strong working knowledge of products sold and ability to explain the use of the various Middle Eastern and Asian food products to customers. • Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards. • Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing. • Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor. • Increase store sales by actively promoting products. • Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures as require. • Receive, unload and verify load and bill of lading against truck schedule for all incoming product. • Ensure equipment is in good working order by reporting any unsafe equipment or conditions. • Provide internal customer service by effectively communicating with store management / staff and providing updates on shipments as requested. • Other duties as required.

Skills:

Basic skills required for the training position • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment • Must be able to lift 10-50lbs • Passion for Middle Eastern and Asian foods. • In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours. • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching. • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals. • Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit. Willing to train and will provide Safe Food Handling Certification if Applicant does not have it
