Duties:

RWDI is seeking a Graphics/Model Coordinator, in the Guelph office on a one year contract on the evening shift. The role includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Creates presentation graphics to a set of standards for various engineering studies
  • Deciphers information from drawings, sketches, photos, and maps to conceive and construct 2D drawings and 3D graphics
  • Participates in the planning and coordination of projects
  • Collaborates with the engineering team to problem solve modeling issues
  • Ensures the project requirements are being fulfilled through ongoing communication with the project team
  • Builds physical or electronic models and prototypes
  • Operates a variety of equipment from shop equipment and hand tools to rapid prototyping machines, digital cameras, computer, and software (e..g. drawing

Skills:

We are accepting applications from candidates with the following skills and qualifications:

  • College diploma in architectural or construction technology
  • 1-3 years’ work experience
  • An aptitude for 3D conceptualization
  • A high proficiency and working knowledge in computer applications with experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Experience in SketchUp and Revit is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Demonstrated initiative, independent problem solving methods/capabilities
  • Proven ability to successfully meet deadlines and manage a number of projects at once
  • Excellent communication skills Strong people skills as well as highly motivated
